How it works

Your thinking goes in, your posts come out

No briefs to fill in. No content calendar to manage. No blank page.

1

You send your notes

What happened this week: a win, a client conversation, something that annoyed you. Recorded in Ledgen, whenever suits you.

2

We find the posts in it

The point, the proof and the hook, written in your voice. Everything else gets cut.

3

You approve in Ledgen

3 posts land in Ledgen every week. Approve them and they go out on schedule, or tell us what is off and we rework it within 48 hours.

Behind every post

What happens between your voice note and the feed

Anyone can tidy up a transcript. These are the rules every post is held to before it reaches you.

  • Voice

    A written voice guide

Your voice is put down on one page from what you already say in public, checked with you, and every draft is held to it.

  • Strategy

    Posts with three jobs

Some posts share what you believe, some show the problems you solve, a few say how to work with you. The mix is planned, not left to chance.

  • Structure

    One proven shape per post

Each post follows a single tested structure from start to finish, never a blend, and rotated so your feed never settles into a formula.

  • Truth

    Nothing invented

Stories, clients, numbers and opinions come from you. We cut and sharpen, but never add a claim you did not make.

  • Polish

    No AI tells

Engagement bait, fake profundity and inflated claims are cut on sight. Habits that turn robotic when repeated are rationed.

  • Texture

    Details, rationed

One lived detail makes a post yours. We use at most one per post, so your stories never run out or start to feel forced.

The same rules apply to every post, including the 3 free ones.

Why this matters

Seen, remembered, chosen. In that order

One good post gets you seen. Being chosen takes the weeks of posts that come after it.

  1. Seen

A post of yours lands in their feed. It is good. They nod, keep scrolling and get on with their day.

    • “Good point, actually.”
    • “Who wrote this?”
  2. Remembered

Most people post twice, get busy and go quiet for three months. The feed forgets them within a week.

    • “Haven’t seen them in a while.”
    • “Do they still do that?”
  3. Chosen

Months later the need arrives. Nobody searches. They think of a name, and it is whoever kept showing up.

    • “Who was that person who writes about this?”
    • “Send me their profile.”

Before and after

One voice note, a week of posts

No new ideas, no invented claims. The same thinking, found, cut and written so a stranger stops scrolling.

From Maya's voice note

0:00–1:52

TranscriptQuick one. Had a call with a founder today, about twelve million in revenue, and he's about to hire a full-time COO. Big salary, equity, six-month search. And I'm sitting there thinking, you need someone for eighteen months, tops. Get a weekly rhythm going, sort the hiring plan, work out which three numbers matter, then hand it back. Two days a week does that. Anyway. Might be a post in there.

A good story nobody will ever hear.

Fractional COO for $5–30M B2B. I take operations off the founder’s desk in 90 days

The most expensive hire a $10M founder makes is a full-time COO they need for eighteen months. I see it every quarter. Revenue crosses eight figures, things start to creak, and the reflex is a senior hire: big salary, equity, a six-month search for a problem with an eighteen-month shelf life. What most of those companies need is narrower: → A weekly operating rhythm someone actually owns → A hiring plan built for the next 12 months, not the pitch deck → Three numbers the leadership team trusts Two days a week covers that. And the engagement should end when the team runs it without you. Hire the full-time COO when the job is permanent. Until then, rent the cadence.

Who you will be working with

A partner, not a guru

Hey there! I am Ray Vellest. I run Ledgen, and I am the one listening to your voice notes and writing your posts.

I am not selling the view from the top. I write and post on LinkedIn myself, and I have worked in branding and positioning since 2011.

Before you decide whether I should be your partner in this, read my posts. They are public. Judge the work by them.

Is this for you

A partnership works both ways

You bring the raw material: what happened, what you learned, what you won. We bring the strategy and the writing.

For you if

  • You have real expertise and opinions that never make it onto LinkedIn
  • Your work comes through reputation, referrals and who remembers you
  • You can send one voice note a week about what is happening in your work
  • You want someone to think it through with you, not just type
  • You can give it a few months before judging what it brings in

Not for you if

  • You want your voice notes typed up word for word
  • You would rather not share what actually happens in your work
  • You want posts about trends rather than your own work
  • You expect leads or followers within the first few weeks
  • You want posts to replace your outreach and referrals

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you need from me?

One voice note a week about what happened: a win, a client conversation, something you learned or something that annoyed you. Plus one planning call a month. No briefs and no forms.

How do I send my voice note?

You record it right in the Ledgen app, whenever suits you that week, and it is there for us to work from. No email threads or chat apps to keep track of.

What if I do not know what to talk about?

Start with your week: what happened, who you spoke to, what went well and what did not. Most good posts come out of ordinary weeks. For the quiet ones, we send prompts and keep a running list of ideas, and the monthly call plans ahead.

Will it sound like me?

That is the first job. Before any post is written, we read what you have already written and said in public, put your voice down on one page and check it with you. Every voice note and every round of feedback sharpens it.

How do I review the posts?

In Ledgen, with your own login. Each week's posts wait there for you to approve, change or send back, with 2 rounds of changes within 48 hours. Once you approve a post, Ledgen publishes it on its scheduled day. Nothing is sent without your approval.

How soon will I get my first posts?

Within a week of onboarding, and then 3 every week. The 3 free posts arrive on the same timeline.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel it anytime from your billing page, linked in the footer, and the partnership runs to the end of the period you have paid for.

Who will I work with?

Me, Ray Vellest. The person listening to your voice notes is the person writing your posts. No junior copywriter, no agency handoff and no contractor you never meet.

Is this just ghostwriting?

We write the posts, but that is the smaller part. We decide with you what to talk about, for whom and why, and plan it together each month. The stories, opinions and results are always yours: we never invent a client, a number or a belief.

Do you use AI?

As a tool, yes: to transcribe voice notes, organise ideas and speed up drafts. What the post says, what gets cut and whether it sounds like you are decided by a person, and I read every word before it reaches you.

What results can I expect?

No follower targets and no promises about reach, because nobody can honestly make them. What showing up every week does is keep you in front of the people who already know your name, so you are the one they remember when the need comes up.

How do the 3 free posts work?

Apply with your LinkedIn profile. Places are limited and depend on our availability, so applying does not guarantee one. If you are chosen, you send one voice note within 7 days, we write 3 posts, and you give honest feedback in a short review at the end. The posts are approved in Ledgen, then published by us or by you. No payment details, no subscription, and the posts are yours to keep.

Will my free posts be shown on this site?

They may be, as examples of the work. That is the exchange: the posts are free, and real examples let the next person judge the work before applying.
